With over 25 years of experience and ProAdvisor certification in QuickBooks, I bring both expertise and efficiency to your financials. Clean, accurate books aren’t just nice to have—they’re essential for tracking profit and loss, staying compliant with taxes and government regulations, and planning for growth.
Through regular monthly reports, you’ll always have a clear picture of your business performance—giving you the confidence to make informed decisions about its future.

About Me:
About Me:
With over 25 years of experience maintaining my own books, filing taxes as well as for other business, I am well experienced in bookkeeping. Along with my husband, we ran a fishing/tourist resort in Northern Ontario for over 20 years. We were among the first in our area to incorporate our resort (in 2008) and offer the cabins for sale as Fractional Ownership. With this success, we continue to reside at the facility, but I find myself not ready for full retirement and decided to put my bookkeeping skills to use. I am hoping to be able to help small businesses get set up and maintain their books as I find that a lot of young professionals are too busy or do not have the time or knowledge to keep up with this most important aspect of their business. I have a preference for helping young people going into the trades (plumbers, electricians, etc) but can do books for any business.
WHY HIRE A BOOKKEEPER?
Financial Costs
-
Missed Deductions & Tax Savings: Without organized records, valuable write-offs slip through the cracks, and you end up paying more tax than you should.
-
Penalties & Interest: Late or inaccurate filings can trigger CRA penalties, interest charges, and unnecessary audits.
-
Cash Flow Blind Spots: Without accurate books, you don’t know if you can afford payroll, inventory, or your next investment.
-
Overpayments & Errors: Duplicate payments, missed bank errors, or misclassified expenses can quietly eat away at your profits.
Time Costs
-
Owner’s Lost Productivity: Every hour you spend reconciling accounts is an hour you’re not focused on growing your business.
-
Inefficiency: Without systems in place, invoices get missed, collections fall behind, and bills slip through the cracks—hurting both relationships and your bottom line.
Strategic Costs
-
No Real-Time Insight: Business decisions become guesses without up-to-date financial data.
-
Funding Challenges: Banks, lenders, and investors want clean books. Poor records can mean denied financing or higher interest rates.
-
Lower Business Value: If you ever want to sell or bring in a partner, messy books reduce your valuation.
Stress & Risk Costs
-
Audit Risk: Disorganized records increase your chance of triggering or failing an audit.
-
Trust Issues: Inaccurate books can undermine credibility with employees, partners, and stakeholders.
-
Owner Stress: Financial uncertainty leads to sleepless nights, constant worry, and decision paralysis.
The Real Value of a Bookkeeper
-
Hiring a bookkeeper isn’t just an expense—it’s an investment.
-
Bookkeeping services fall under “professional fees,” a fully deductible business expense.
-
A bookkeeper pays for themselves by keeping your books accurate, compliant, and decision-ready.
-
Monthly reconciliations catch missed expenses, ensuring you don’t pay more tax than you owe.
-
You can’t afford not to have one—because the hidden costs of missed deductions, penalties, wasted time, and lost opportunities far exceed the cost of professional bookkeeping.
